Job Title: Inventory Manager

The Job Purpose:
The selected candidate will be in charge of ensuring optimal onsite inventory stock holding from a financial and operational standpoint, as well as inventory operations management and stakeholder management.
The Specific duties and responsibilities:
- To drives and is accountable for working capital management by optimizing inventory holdings using parameter management.
- To maintain proper inventory levels that are data-driven and customer-focused.
- To manage the Inventory Operations team to ensure accurate and efficient stock receiving, reception, and issuance, as well as good customer support in terms of timing and product availability (in compliance with SLA).
- To manage the Verification team to ensure that weekly stock counts are managed and executed in compliance with the FCFQ and related percentage error KPIs.
- To investigate any discrepancies.
- To manage the finalization of the stock counting process and guarantee that stock adjustments are completed on schedule.
- To delegate daily workflow and manage Expeditors to ensure that outstanding orders are expedited through contact with the buying team, suppliers, and requisitioners to fulfill delivery deadlines.
- To provide recommendations on how to prioritize orders based on business needs and supplier evaluation in order to meet OTIF targets.
- Collaborate with the business to ensure compliance with inventory rules, plans, processes, and guidelines.
- Encourages ongoing stakeholder engagement in supply and demand planning across all company activities (e.g., off crop, Capex projects, packaging, fertilizers, etc.). This includes meeting the agreed-upon demand plans.
- To lead, manage, and enhance the capabilities of the local inventory teams.
- Utilize analytical data and insights to collaborate with stakeholders to optimize stock holding, estimate demand, and meet category supply objectives.
- To coordinates inventory item ordering based on demand projections (aligned with production and maintenance planning) for the operation.
- Utilizes Qlik dashboards to drive and meet inventory KPIs Ensure adherence to standards.
- Policies, strategies, processes, and guidelines for inventory management that take into account customer expectations.
- To ensure FCFQ compliance by thorough interaction with the group and internal audit (including preserving relevance to current systems, rules, and procedures).
- To manage inbound logistics and customs clearance to ensure compliance with country regulations.
- To ensure that inbound clearances are obtained before the consignment arrives at the entry port.
- To manage outbound customs declarations for temporary exports. Repair and Return.
- To avoid increased import charges, ensure the appropriate application of Customs tariffs to inbound declarations and the distribution of SADC/COMESA certification.
- To manage Revenue Authority audits for inbound clearances, if applicable.
- To avoid shipment delays, ensure that import/export permits have been sought for and are available.
- Begin the process of sourcing Forex Cover for international purchases in accordance with company policy.
- The appointment and contract management for third-party logistics providers (bonded warehouses, clearing agents, freight forwarders).
The Job Qualifications and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in procurement and supply chain management, commerce, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management.
- Demonstrates knowledge of store and inventory management systems and processes.
- Proven track record in managing teams.
- The Registration with the Professional Board (PSPTB) is preferred.
- The experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP.

- The successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract.
