AN INTRODUCTION:

The Duara Finance Ltd is a Tanzanian company with several offices across the country that helps SMEs and farmers flourish.

The Investment Officer Intern will be directly responsible for DUARA client management, which includes acquiring new customers, evaluating loan applications, and monitoring active customers.

 

 

The Main Responsibilities:

The Pre-application:

  • To identify potential clients in your target markets and describe the DUARA product.
  • To provide ongoing advice to those drafting applications.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of applications, including business viability and the applicant’s reliability.
  • This will include customer site visits, conversations with present or prospective customers and suppliers, personal reference checks, working capital checks, and basic financial analysis.
  • To make recommendations to the Branch/Zonal Manager regarding which investments should be pursued.
  • Take on primary responsibility for a portfolio of DUARA customers, monitoring these investments on an ongoing basis through reminder phone calls and regular visits to the customers’ business premises.
  • Collaborate with the training team to determine clients’ skill training needs and ensure proper follow-up on any training provided.
  • This could also entail assisting to organize customer networking events.
  • To maintain detailed records on the DUARA software system.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The fresh from university are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • A degree from a reputed university.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The problem-solving abilities.
