Job Summary:

The IT Administrator is in charge of overseeing the proper operation of an organization’s IT systems and networks. They install, configure, manage, and debug hardware, software, and network systems, as well as offer technical assistance to employees.

 

The Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To install, configure, and manage servers, computers, and software.
  • To manage operating systems, enterprise applications, and databases.
  • To perform system backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • To monitor and maintain the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems.
  • To configure and administer routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
  • Implement firewalls, virtual private networks, and intrusion detection systems to ensure network security.
  • To provide staff with technical support at Levels 1 and 2.
  • Quickly resolve hardware and software issues.
  • To manage user accounts and permissions across systems.
  • To implement and monitor cybersecurity procedures to safeguard data and systems.
  • Perform frequent security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • To ensure compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Keep a list of IT assets, licenses, and warranties.
  • To recommend updates or replacements for obsolete systems.
  • To document all IT procedures, rules, and technical setups.
  • Create user guides and deliver training sessions.
  • To coordinate with external vendors on procurement, maintenance, and technical support.
  • To manage contract and service agreements.

 

 

The Job Requirements:

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar profession.
  • The Certifications like CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent are frequently preferred.

Language Skills:

  • A proficiency in English is preferred.

 

The Experience:

  • A proven IT support or administrative experience of at least 2-5 years.

 

 

The Technical Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Stays up to date on the newest technological and security trends.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
