About the Company:
Since 2012, Hesu has been authorized by the Tanzania Revenue Authority to run ICD facilities. Its 9 acres of paved yard at the strategically placed depot site can hold 3800 Twenty Foot equivalent units (TEUS) stacked five high. Hesu, located 5 km from the port off Nelson Mandela Road, is one of the best-positioned inland container terminals. Modern handling tools, such as reach stackers, prime movers, empty handlers, forklifts, and trailers, are used in this completely guarded facility to guarantee first in/first out stacking arrangements. Our site has a 750 square meter, two-story office block that houses shipping lines, logistical service providers, and customs and port officials.
Hesu ICD recognizes the value of providing effective solutions to meet the constantly evolving needs of its clients in this technologically advanced era. To this end, the Depot Management System is computerized and fully equipped to meet all customer requirements and local customs protocol through the use of web services and Edi provision.

SUMMARY:
accountable for the company’s whole IT operations. makes certain that the networks, integrations, and IT systems of the businesses are operating effectively.
Managing IT department duties to ensure that the company’s IT systems and networks comply with all relevant standards and regulations, as well as to improve decision-making, reduce expenses, and improve performance in a variety of areas, including customer service, inventory management, and supplier collaboration.
Principal Obligations and Accountabilities:
The following tasks will be performed by the IT officer:
- Oversee the daily activities of the nation’s IT department.
- Oversee sales orders in SAP, making sure they are accurate and delivered on time.
- Follow supply and items in real time.
- To increase productivity and surpass customer expectations, keep open lines of communication with all internal and external stakeholders, including teams of sales representatives, customers, and other departments.
- Provide a root cause analysis in response to complaints and suggest remedial measures for management consideration.
- Assure the effectiveness and uptime of the organization’s networks, integrations, and IT systems.
- Offer users technical support.
- Control the IT spending.
- Ascertain that all relevant standards and laws are complied with by IT systems and networks.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline.
- Two or more years of IT management experience Possessing expertise in ERP, such as SAP, is a benefit.
- Familiarity with national and international legal requirements.
- Strong analytical and multitasking abilities and the capacity to make recommendations.
- Exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service abilities.
- Sophisticated Excel abilities.
- Expertise overseeing IT budgets.
- Functioning knowledge of logistics, clearing and forwarding, ICD, and ICDV firms.
- Familiarity in setting up and running networks and IT systems.
- Expertise in guaranteeing IT adherence to all relevant norms and laws.
