With the help of our services, business owners may fortify their operations, boost revenue, and expand their social effect to boost employment and expand into underserved communities. Additionally, Anza is actively involved in developing Tanzania’s innovation and entrepreneurial scene (ecosystem).
In addition to selling our services directly to entrepreneurs, Anza also provides business development services to entrepreneurs associated with our partner organizations, which include MEDA, CARE, UNCDF, Funguo, the Aga Khan Foundation, and the Dorcas Foundation, all of which share our belief in entrepreneur support. Anza maintains offices in Arusha and Dar es Salaam.
Concern the role:
Anza Entrepreneurs is looking for a proactive and skilled IT officer to manage, maintain, and improve the organisation’s digital platforms and websites, which include the Anza and PesaTech websites. The selected candidate will also be responsible for platforms such as Google Workspace, Anza Management Platform, and the Anza Marketplace, guaranteeing their seamless operation, security, and optimization. This position entails resolving technological issues, assisting employees with digital tools, and playing an important role in Anza’s digital strategy.
The Key Responsibilities:
The Website Management and Maintenance:
- Oversee the Anza and PesaTech websites, making sure they are secure, up to date, and working well.
- To perform regular content updates, optimize site performance, and troubleshoot issues on both websites.
- Ensure compatibility across browsers, devices, and platforms, and work with the Communications team to deliver timely updates.
The Platform Support:
- Manage and support major digital platforms such as Google Workspace, Anza Management Platform, and Anza Marketplace.
- Provide technical support and training to staff who use these platforms to ensure seamless and effective operation.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and backup across all platforms while resolving any technical difficulties.
- Ensure that the Anza Management platform and Anza Marketplace are widely adopted and used.
- Updating the platform to better meet the organization’s diverse demands.
The System Optimization and Security:
- To perform frequent security checks on all platforms and websites to prevent unauthorized access and cyber risks.
- Implement data security and recovery methods across several websites and digital platforms.
- Monitor platform and website performance to improve load times and reduce downtime.
The Technical Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and address technical issues with websites and digital platforms.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any technical issues with websites or platforms, delivering prompt resolution.
The Collaboration and Staff Support:
- Collaborate with the Communications and Operations teams to ensure that Anza’s digital strategy is in line with organizational objectives.
- Provide staff training and support for Google Workspace, Anza Management Platform, and Anza Marketplace as needed.
An Innovation and Improvement:
- Keep up with the newest technology developments and suggest enhancements to Anza’s digital platforms and websites.
- Propose and implement redesigns, new features, or functional upgrades as needed to ensure digital excellence.
Job Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar profession.
- Proven expertise managing websites and digital platforms, including Google Workspace (attach relevant projects or works completed).
- Strong knowledge of website development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Laravel, MySQL, and content management systems such as WordPress and Github.
- Experience managing CRM systems, cloud services, and marketplaces.
- Knowledge of online hosting, domain management, and website security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to handle a variety of technological challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with expertise offering training to non-technical workers.
- Capacity to operate both individually and in a cooperative team.
Desired Capabilities/ Skills:
- Familiarity in running online markets, CRMs, and/or Google Workspace platforms.
- Familiarity with SEO, GDPR compliance, and data security standards.
- Knowledge of collaborative software and project management applications, such as Trello, Slack, and Asana.
