The Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and supporting desktop systems, assisting with network difficulties, and ensuring that users’ desktops run smoothly.
The Specific duties and responsibilities:
- To provide first-level assistance to users experiencing technical difficulties with hardware, software, and network systems.
- To diagnose and address technical issues, often via remote access technologies.
- To assist users with the installation, configuration, and use of IT hardware and applications.
- To log and track incidents and service requests via a ticketing system to ensure quick response.
- Schedule routine maintenance chores such as software upgrades, backups, and system monitoring.
- To create and maintain documentation for common concerns, solutions, and information technology practices.
- Give users advice on best practices and new technologies.
- Maintain compliance with IT security rules and procedures, including user access and permissions.
The Job Qualifications and Experience:
- A diploma in information technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience installing and configuring various computer systems.
- Experience installing, setting, and repairing computer hardware and software.
- Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network resources such as routers and switches.
- The ability to quickly diagnose and address hardware, software, and network issues.
The Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be hired on a Fixed-Term Contract.
