The Senior Tax Manager function, which is open at ABA Alliance, will be crucial to the direction of our Tax & Compliance Department.

 

You will have the chance to help our clients fulfill and manage their tax responsibilities in a variety of distinct but constantly evolving tax specialties by pursuing a career in our Tax & Compliance Department. In addition to serving as a strategic consultant for business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions, you will counsel clients on their domestic and international tax matters. Our Tax Department helps our clients with a range of tax and compliance issues, including insolvency, partnerships, restructuring, and divestiture. Assisting customers with tax planning, asset analysis and quantification, risk assessment, and modeling of taxable income and cash flow effects will be your main focus.

 

Working in a group of problem solvers as a Senior Tax Manager, you will assist in resolving intricate business problems from strategy to implementation. For this Management Level, ABA’s professional competencies and duties comprise, but are not restricted to:

  • Set the standard as a technologically savvy tax counselor who adds value via automation, digitization, and greater efficiency.

Job Preferences and Requirements:

The basic qualifications: Bachelor’s degree.

Study areas required: tax and accounting.

CPA(T) or ACCA certification is an additional educational requirement. A master’s degree in accounting or a related discipline will be advantageous.

Four years of experience is the minimum.

Desired Information/Skills:

  • Due diligence includes, among other things, analyzing intricate legislative and regulatory activities pertaining to business and partnership transactions, supporting clients with legislative and regulatory initiatives, and getting ready for client review submission requests for TRA’s technical advice and private letter rulings.
  • Recognizing and meeting the requirements of clients through the creation, upkeep, and application of networks of client connections and community involvement.
  • Value propositions, resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections, and the preparation and/or coordination of intricate written and verbal materials are all part of leading teams. Other responsibilities include supervising teams to foster a culture of trust, seeking out different viewpoints to spur innovation and improvement, and coaching staff, which includes giving timely, insightful written and verbal feedback.
  • Successfully demonstrates the role of a tax technical business advisor by forging new connections, introducing people to sell new services, and operating under the philosophy of “One Firm” service.

 

Shows understanding of digitalization and automation in the context of professional services, including but not limited to:

  • Tax planning and consulting services include, for example, examining planned transactions for any unexpected tax benefits or hazards.
  • Advising customers on tax-efficient restructuring is one example of transaction structuring for tax difficulties and corporate restructuring.
  • Due diligence includes, among other things, interpreting intricate legislative and regulatory actions pertaining to business and partnership transactions, supporting clients with legislative and regulatory initiatives, and getting ready to submit requests for TRA’s technical advice and private letter rulings for client review; and
  • Creation of strategies and financial modeling, such as carrying out financial evaluations to evaluate the tax implications of particular transactions.
  • Experimenting with digitizing solutions and innovating using both new and old technologies.
  • Maximizing engagements and cutting hours with digitalization technologies.
