Job Title: Powerhouse Electrician

Purpose of a job:
During the off-crop and crusher season, the chosen candidate will be in charge of machine and equipment maintenance.
The Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs upkeep, fixes electrical malfunctions, and troubleshoots the factory during the crushing season.
- Perform checklist-based checks in the adjacent MCC and MV room, make any necessary on-the-spot repairs, and report all results during the daily meeting.
- Fixes any electrical equipment that breaks down when crushing and off-crop.
If necessary, attend to any electrical malfunctions in the factory’s machinery and systems throughout crushing season. - Keep an eye on the electrical equipment’s performance.
- Able to operate a medium voltage breaker with a correct LOTO.
- Guarantees the safe maintenance of breakers and motors.
- Utilize the estate maximum demand to operate the system.
- Good interpersonal communication.
- Before launching, check the machine’s safety and condition.
- Make sure both people and machinery are safe.
- Reports flaws in electrical machinery.
Experience and Qualifications for the Position:
- A minimum of an Ordinary Diploma NTA level 6 in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution and experience working in a manufacturing or medium voltage power plant with relevant responsibilities.
- Extensive understanding of reading, analyzing, and tracing defects in electrical circuits as well as their correction.
- Having computer abilities will be beneficial.
- Extensive understanding of lockout, safety, running behavior, and electrical machinery.
- Two or more years of experience in electrical work.
- Prepared to put in a lot of overtime.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Talents in creativity, innovation, and teamwork.
Terms of Service: A permanent contract will be awarded to the selected candidate.
