The CEFA Vacancies (European Committee for Training and Agriculture) is an Italian NGO that has been undertaking initiatives in Tanzania since 1975. CEFA has spent the last 40 years to facilitating sustainable development processes, with an emphasis on the implementation of integrated rural development projects in the Southern Highlands. CEFA collaborates with IDH – The Sustainable Trade Initiative, Tea Research Institute of Tanzania (TRIT), and Tanzania Smallholder Tea Development Agency (TSHTDA) to implement the “Improving Income and Nutrition of Smallholder Tea Farmers in Southern Tanzania” project.
CEFA The Seed of Solidarity is a non-governmental organization that has worked for 50 years to end hunger and poverty.
It assists the world’s poorest communities in achieving food security and respect for fundamental rights (education, employment, health, gender equality, and freedom of expression). The goal of CEFA is sustainable development, which means being able to conduct land development programs while encouraging the local population to be the driving force behind change. CEFA’s wish is that every single person on the planet become a protagonist of progress and an active participant in peace and democracy.
