The Benjamin William Mkapa Foundation is a non-profit trust dedicated to establishing robust and sustainable healthcare delivery systems, particularly in marginalized communities. BMF’s primary purpose is to enhance and complement the Tanzanian government’s development efforts. The Late Benjamin William Mkapa, former President of the United Republic of Tanzania, formed BMF Tanzania Vacancies to help build a healthier, more prosperous, inclusive, and resilient society. We help to reduce the scarcity of skilled health workers by allocating human resources based on evidence. BMF has received an award from Henry Jackson Medical Research International, Inc. Tanzania (HJFMRI Tanzania) through its U.S. branch.
The Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) will help administer the non-clinical Human Resource for Health component of the Southern Highland Zone Civilian Project (SHL), which is being implemented in four regions: Rukwa, Katavi, Songwe, and Mbeya. Through this award, 316 data management personnel will be deployed in 231 health facilities to support program operations in their respective regions.
