The STAMIGOLD Company Limited Vacancies was founded on October 28, 2013 to conduct the business of mining gold, processing such gold, and generally treating, preparing, rendering marketable, selling, and disposing of such gold or by-products resulting therefrom, whether raw or processed. The State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) and the Treasury Registrar possess the only gold mining firm, which functions as a private limited company with share capital. STAMICO owns 99.998% of the total shares, with the Treasury Registrar owning 0.002%.The company owns and runs the STAMIGOLD Biharamulo mine. The mine began operations in July 2014.
The company’s activities include geological exploration within the Biharamulo Forest Reserve. The mine is situated on the outskirts of Biharamulo Forest Reserve, in Kaniha Ward, Biharamulo District, Kagera Region. The mine site is accessible by road from either the Kahama-Rusumo Highway or the Geita-Biharamulo Highway via the Bwanga-Runzewe route. All employees are Tanzanians since the company has continuously strengthened its Local Content policies and skill development, with a focus on hiring locals, training students, and conducting industrial internship programs.
