Tanzania Police Force (TPF)
The Tanzanian Police Force has advertised employment openings for Tanzanian youth with degrees, diplomas, certificates, form six and four, and other qualifications.
According to an announcement issued by Tanzania’s Inspector General of Police (IGP), Camilius Wambura, on March 20, 2025, the required youth must be Tanzanian citizens by birth, while their parents must be Tanzanian citizens by birth and have passed form four or six between 2019 and 2024.
Other requirements include the following: applicants for form four, six, and those with certificates must be between the ages of 18 and 25, and applicants for form four must have a first or fourth class pass.
Applicants with a fourth-grade pass should have a score of 26 to 28, whereas those with a sixth-grade pass should have a score of first to third. Degree and diploma graduates should be between the ages of 18 and 30, with a height of no less than five feet eight inches (5’8″) for men and five feet four inches (5’4″ for women).
Other requirements include a National Identity Card or an identifying number issued by the National identifying Authority (NIDA), fluency in Kiswahili and English, and good bodily and mental health as attested by a government doctor.
The applicant must not be married, have been married, or have a kid or children, have never used drugs of any type, be willing to attend the initial training of the Police profession, and be unemployed or have never been hired by another government organization.
He or she must be willing to work in the police force anywhere in Tanzania, pay for all interview steps if called, and have no tattoos or criminal history.
Applicants with a degree (NTA level 8), diploma (NTA level 6), and diploma (NTA Level 5 or NVA Level 3) must meet the requirements outlined in the job posting.
All applicants must write their own application letters by hand, including their phone numbers, and address them to the Chief of Police at P.O. Box 961, Dodoma. Attach the letter to the application in ‘pdf’ format.

All applicants must apply via the Tanzania Police Force Recruitment Portal, which is available on the Police Force website.
“Applications submitted by post, email, or hand will not be accepted,” the notification stated.
The deadline for applications is April 4, 2025.
