Chuo Kishiriki cha Elimu Dar es Salaam/ Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE)
The Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE) is a public institution created in 2005 by Government Notice No. 202, which was published on July 22, 2005. The College was established as a priority response by the Tanzanian government to meet the critical lack of graduate teachers and experts in the education sector caused by the rapid rise of school enrollment. The growth was driven by the success of the Primary Education Development Programme (PEDP) from 2002 to 2006 and the Secondary Education Development Programme (SEDP I) from 2004 to 2009, among other initiatives.
The College has 52.97 acres of land. The College also has 1.17 hectares in Plot No. 964/1 Block ‘V’ Mbagala. Because of its proximity to the city centre, the College’s strategic location offers potential for investment in a variety of fields.
