Our Lodge is situated near an animal watering hole, where you can witness a family of elephants stopping for a morning drink. It is perched on a network of raised platforms and walkways. Our Lodge is conveniently located 45 minutes away from the Seronera Airstrip, which is reachable by connecting flights from three major airports in Tanzania. It is nestled amidst expansive plains in the heart of the Central Serengeti. THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Supports the program for service quality assurance.
– To identify performance gaps and learning requirements, collaborate with superiors and peers.
– Plans training activities in accordance with key indicators (glitches, LQA, Coyle, standards missed, and GES scores), in consultation with the training council.
– Is in charge of making that departments consistently carry out the required training and education.
– Teaches managers how to provide their staff with the necessary skill training.

2. Oversees the management of a successful standards training program, making sure that training checklists are submitted by new staff and that standards training manuals are updated on a regular basis.

3. Upholds a productive program of designated trainers, often known as learning coaches.

– In charge of maintaining an indirect reporting line to the Designated Trainers and making sure their roles and duties are defined, supported, and followed in order to raise standards and increase customer satisfaction.
– When necessary, provides new Designated Trainers (DT) with training; on a regular basis, coaches and develops current DTs in their roles and duties.

4. Provides a comprehensive Learning Needs Analysis as the foundation for learning guidance.
– Develops and generates a training plan and learning needs analysis (LNA) that are in line with the property’s objectives and budget cycle each year.

5. Quickly creates and develops learning programs to close performance gaps in order to address learning needs.

6. Measures outcomes and tracks changes in behavior to assess the impact of initiatives and training programs.

7. Organizes and co-manages every EMBARK component for every new recruit in accordance with standards.

Management of Talent and Leadership:

  • Co-facilitates Management Development Programs (MDP) and Toolkits with others, or coaches others to do so.
  • Is authorized to administer the Supervisory Development Program (STEPS) and customizes it to meet the needs of the community.
  • Designs and produces management competency-focused blended learning programs.
  • Helps managers draft their development plans, making sure the emphasis is on experience-based learning.
  • Makes certain that newly hired managers have the information and abilities necessary to finish their ninety-day probationary period.
  • Guarantees that each college recruit finishes a structured course with predetermined learning goals.
  • Provides the Top Talent program to assist the HR department.

 

In general:

  • Uses the Corporate Learning Success Levels as a regular baseline for the learning function.
  • Promotes the projects, programs, and e-Learning of the learning function.
  • Creates and generates training schedules on a monthly and quarterly basis, taking into account learning demands and performance gaps.
  • Creates and keeps Workday training attendance records. establishes and follows a yearly budget for all activities, learning materials, and training programs. Participates actively in the Bluewater Innovation Committee Plans and arranges training sessions led by both in-house and outside instructors.
  • Engages in and/or provides assistance to Lodge Committees (such as the Safety, Green, and other committees).
  • Participates in and aids in the planning of employee relations activities.
  • Attends the Learning Manager seminar as scheduled Respect the Four Seasons Employee Handbook’s provisions regarding the Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.

 

THE NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee and plan all activities related to staff recreation, such as social gatherings, meetings, and employee relations activities.
  • All employee claims against the Lodge, including those pertaining to workers’ compensation, unemployment, the Department of Labor, and wage and hour issues, should be addressed, and relevant hearings should be attended.
  • Support the lodge committees (safety, green, cafeteria, etc.) in a proactive manner.
  • Make sure the accommodations areas, employee entrance, and cafeteria are tidy and clean.
  • Carry out any additional tasks that management assigns you.
  • Might need to temporarily go to the logistics office in Arusha in order to assist.

 

EXPERTISE AND ABILITY:

Education: A college degree or work experience that is comparable.

 

Experience:

  • Two to four years of experience working in a relevant role at Four Seasons or another company is essential for this position.

 

Competencies and Strengths:

  • Need a basic understanding of labor laws.
  • The majority of the time, working knowledge is acquired through professional certification programs or on-the-job training.
  • Need familiarity with computer hardware and operation.
  • The capacity to write, speak, and read English.
