Job Summary:
- To provide expert support for the company’s accounting function in order to guarantee that it fulfills its financial commitments.
- Prompt processing of payments and invoices in accordance with established TATs and payment processing protocols.
- To guarantee that, while making payments, all relevant taxes are accurately recorded. This will cover value added tax (VAT) and withholding tax (WHT), among other things.
- Appropriate document management both during and after payment processing. Confidentiality, referencing, filling, and archiving are all included in this.
- To support monthly bank reconciliations in order to guarantee prompt bank reconciliation closure.
- Reconciliations of all control and suspense accounts on a monthly basis.
- Examine and balance every account related to advances, accruals, and prepayments. The computation of accruals, retirement of advances, and amortization of prepayments will all be reviewed.
- To oversee and foster a good working connection with all parties involved, such as vendors, clients, authorities, employees, and management. Managing and ensuring prompt communications and interactions with the stakeholders is part of this.
- To agree with suppliers and create monthly supplier reconciled statements.
- To confirm that the system has posted all month-end journals.
- To control payment risk and guarantee adherence to all external and internal legal requirements as well as financial rules.
- To compile and submit reports on a regular basis to the chief accountant and other internal and external stakeholders.
- To participate in and support any pertinent audits, both internal and external posting all other journals in accordance with the Chief Accountant’s instructions.
- Any additional responsibilities that the finance manager or chief accountant may impose.
Proficiency / Skills:
Accounting, payment handling, personnel management, monthly reconciliations, invoices, prepayment, and tax withholding.
