Regarding the position:

Internal Firm Services’ Africa Technology department is looking for a Senior Associate in IT system administration. As technology advances and affects the way we conduct business, you will collaborate with a dynamic technology team that is always growing and taking on new projects. You will help the group manage our networks, storage, backup, hardware, software, and maintenance. This position is essential to our business since it makes sure that our technological infrastructure functions properly.

You should be a Senior IT System Administrator with extensive training and experience who can assist challenging projects and enhance a high-achieving work environment. Role-related obligations:

Particular obligations consist include, but are not restricted to:

  • Network segments, Internet and intranet systems, and LANs and WANs should all be configured, installed, and supported.
  • Support network elements such as backups, maintenance, emergency restoration services, and server configurations.
  • Oversee the daily functioning of host systems by keeping an eye on their configuration, performance, upkeep, and repairs.
  • Ensure that the hardware, software, and associated infrastructure of the systems are provisioned, installed, configured, operated, and maintained effectively.
  • In order to safeguard the ICT infrastructure, networks, and data, enforce and guarantee adherence to the company’s information security rules.
  • In charge of disaster recovery, storage management, and daily IT problems.
  • Manage IT projects and communicate with providers to guarantee their timely and effective execution.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements in the field of systems administration and suggest strategies for the company to use novel technologies.
  • As needed, collaborate with the local IT team to carry out a variety of tasks.

Qualifications that are necessary:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar field.
  • Credentials in pertinent domains, such as CompTIA Server+, VMware Certified Professional Network Virtualization, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), etc.
  • Four years of relevant professional experience managing servers and networks.
  • It will be advantageous to have prior experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
