The Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site position for an accountant at VIVA Towers in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Junior Accountant will be in charge of maintaining correct financial records, processing tenant invoices, managing vendor payments, and ensuring statutory compliance. The job also entails generating monthly reports, reconciling bank accounts, and liaising with other departments to guarantee seamless financial operations. Close communication with the Marketing and Administration teams is required to guarantee that tenant-related expenditures and lease data are accurately reflected. This position necessitates meticulous attention to detail, extensive accounting knowledge, and the ability to handle deadlines in a dynamic setting.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Expertise in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations.
  • The experience with tenant invoicing, billing cycles, and debt collection.
  • Understanding/ knowledge of accounting software and digital recordkeeping systems.
  • A strong interpersonal and communication skills are required for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • The ability to handle several financial activities in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • The knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and statutory compliance.
  • A prior experience in the real estate or property management industry is beneficial.
  • A bachelor’s or diploma-level degree in accounting, finance, or a similar profession.
  • Must be fluent in English, Gujarati, and Swahili.
  • Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
