Job Title: Junior Mechanical Engineer

Job location: Mtwara, Tanzania United Republic of

 

Job Description:

  • Make that the mechanical equipment is operating and maintained.
  • Oversee the group of technicians in order to ensure that maintenance is completed on schedule and under supervision.
  • To guarantee that, when performing maintenance, quality requirements are adhered to.
  • Creating and carrying out a schedule for preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment to increase machinery’s overall dependability and safety.
  • To minimize equipment downtime and maximize availability for power plant operation, conduct failure investigation and implement corrective action.
  • Create and keep a check list.
  • In order to ensure the power plant runs well, prepare and keep spare inventories.
  • Accountable for arranging necessary repairs and performing routine maintenance to keep power plant equipment in a safe operational state.
  • To take part in the updating and modifying of the current system to ensure the power plant runs smoothly.
  • As allocated by the Senior Engineer, Section Head, or Head of Department, carry out any further related tasks.

Conditions /Requirements:

  • Mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree.
  • Three years or more of mechanical maintenance experience, ideally in a power plant.
  • Strong incident analysis abilities.
  • Strong familiarity with safety laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills both in writing and speaking
  • Managerial aptitude.
  • Inventiveness and creativity.
