Job Title: Junior Mechanical Engineer
Job location: Mtwara, Tanzania United Republic of
Job Description:
- Make that the mechanical equipment is operating and maintained.
- Oversee the group of technicians in order to ensure that maintenance is completed on schedule and under supervision.
- To guarantee that, when performing maintenance, quality requirements are adhered to.
- Creating and carrying out a schedule for preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment to increase machinery’s overall dependability and safety.
- To minimize equipment downtime and maximize availability for power plant operation, conduct failure investigation and implement corrective action.
- Create and keep a check list.
- In order to ensure the power plant runs well, prepare and keep spare inventories.
- Accountable for arranging necessary repairs and performing routine maintenance to keep power plant equipment in a safe operational state.
- To take part in the updating and modifying of the current system to ensure the power plant runs smoothly.
- As allocated by the Senior Engineer, Section Head, or Head of Department, carry out any further related tasks.
Conditions /Requirements:
- Mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree.
- Three years or more of mechanical maintenance experience, ideally in a power plant.
- Strong incident analysis abilities.
- Strong familiarity with safety laws and regulations.
- Strong communication skills both in writing and speaking
- Managerial aptitude.
