Job Title: Key Account Manager – Government

The Job Description:

The account manager supervises and manages connections with government partners. They will prioritize client pleasure, increasing account value, and delivering products or services that match the client’s specific requirements.

The account manager represents the customer at Airtel Tanzania.

The account manager is on an Enterprise SIP (sales incentive plan), and her/his performance is based on incremental revenue and order monthly recurring value.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

To engage with current and new clients at the management level to understand their overall strategy and key business drivers; seek to establish a roadmap with the customer that promotes development toward or conclusion of Airtel contracts. Network services (fixed or mobile), solution sets, and value-added services Tanzania Travel Guide.

 

To develop multi-functional partnerships (Owner, Finance, IT management, Supply Chain, Marketing, VIP users, HR) to create new solutions that deliver value / benefit in relation to the customer’s particular business needs; deepen and broaden relationships with a longer-term perspective.

To understand the customer’s business and IT strategy; relate these requirements to industry trends as well as existing customer requirements for which Airtel Africa solutions have provided value.
Smartphone Deals

Create/ prepare regular competitor activity analyses to understand market direction and potential impact on customer relationships; proactively look for opportunities to address the need for cost reductions or technology refreshes to achieve enhanced capability, improved efficiency, or a clear market advantage.

 

 

Job Qualifications:

Education:

  • A Degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent).

 

 

Other (desirable):

  • The Membership in relevant professional organizations.
  • A Certifications / accreditation in related fields.

 

 

The Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of expertise in sales and relationship management with government partners.
  • Expertise in Fixed and Mobile Connectivity, NaaS, CPaaS, IoT, Security, and Cloud solutions. Familiarity with industry sector and customer goals and issues.
  • Understand governance inside enterprise organizations.
