Be responsible for ensuring that the organization follows legal frameworks, protects its rights and interests, provides competent legal advice, manages risks, and ensures regulatory compliance.
Job Qualifications:
A bachelor degree in law or a related discipline (or equivalent) is required, as well as certifications and membership in professional organizations (such as the School of Law). Candidates must have at least three years of experience in a legal setting. Best online courses.
The Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory Services: Provide legal advice to ensure compliance with the law, assess risks, and propose solutions to reduce liability.
- Contract management entails drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts to ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Track regulatory changes, advise management, and ensure legal compliance.
- Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Represent the organization in legal proceedings and oversee external counsel for litigation matters.
- Corporate Governance: Assist the board and senior management with governance issues and ensure timely filing of statutory documentation.
