Job Summary:

In the Manufacturing Department, Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd. has an excellent opportunity. For a Machine Specialist role based in Mbeya, we are seeking a talented person with the necessary training and expertise in engineering. The Plant Engineer will receive direct reporting from the chosen candidate.

Principal Tasks and Accountabilities:

The appointee (incumbent) shall be accountable for;

  • Supplying the shift-based teams with specialized support throughout operations.
  • Giving the shift direction and counsel for how to operate the machine, identify faults with it, and respond appropriately when it fails.
  • Giving shift-based teams teaching, mentorship, and machine operating knowledge transfer.
  • Updates to equipment-related work instructions.
  • Keeping an eye on and controlling equipment performance.
  • Participate in the maintenance planning meeting by offering comments and outlining the necessary tasks.
  • Help teammates complete tasks as assigned by the planner during the scheduled maintenance schedule.
  • Participate in regular maintenance as arranged by the planner for maintenance.
  • When a technician has been assigned condition monitoring tasks in line with the CM schedule, execute them.
  • Make the necessary repairs, evaluate the issue, and decide on a plan of action.
  • To solve problems, use the appropriate approaches for problem solving.
  • Always conduct yourself in a safe manner, and call attention to any harmful work practices so they can be changed.
  • Comply with the work instructions and the relevant CCBA policies and procedures when doing the assigned tasks.

 

 

Knowledge (Skills), Experience, and Education (Training):

In addition to being a qualified craftsperson with at least three years of technical and leadership experience in an FMCG setting, the incumbent should hold a degree in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline. Excellent leadership and communication abilities, sound analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a track record of high integrity are all required.

Having computer skills will be beneficial.
