Job Title: Manager Business Intelligence – Ports and Terminals
Job location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Work Function:
In charge of preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analyses, industry and peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analyses, and other projects as directed by senior management. Also accountable for delivering management reports to senior management and government authorities.
Important Domains of Performance:
- Develop commercial strategy and do statistical data analysis to identify revenue opportunities to boost DP World Dar es Salaam profitability.
- Enhance DP World Dar es Salaam’s market intelligence by keeping abreast of competition activity, market trends, consumer behavior, and outside factors affecting the company’s operations.
- Examine Key Operational Performance categories and report any discrepancies or opportunities for improvement to the CFO.
- Analyze operational statistics reports on business opportunities in-depth.
- As required by TPA and TASAC, coordination, preparation, and monitoring of the creation of statistical monthly reports on terminal key performance indicators.
- For management decision-making, key performance indicator reports—such as those on throughput, vessel waiting times, productivity levels, yard densities, and truck turnaround times—are analyzed.
- Collaborating closely with the Tanzania Ports Authority’s monitoring team to obtain the port’s total statistics.
- Provide data gathering techniques that are specifically pertinent to each business venture the company is pursuing.
- Create a monthly commercial report and present it to management.
- Supervising the production of the port log for stevedoring fees.
- Ensuring timely submission of all periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) by the statistics team.
- By using analytical work to increase profitability, we can understand the operational cost drivers, take charge of cost development, and pose constructive questions and challenges to the way we currently function.
- In charge of outlining how department expenses have changed, discussing expenditures per cost center with each department, making suggestions for enhancements, and promoting efficiency.
- Give the senior management team a uniform online management reporting bundle.
- Contribute to the annual report preparation for the company.
The Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance and accounting, and a B. Com.
- A master’s degree in business administration with a focus on finance, accounting, statistics, and mathematics will be beneficial.
