Job Title: Manager of Partnership

In order to support church partners in their efforts to minister to children and youth within their own context, this manager oversees a group of Partnership Facilitators who work together to strengthen local ownership. As Compassion’s main point of contact with church partners, this leader’s team is responsible for the Partnership Management core process, church outcomes, and the mobilization of Compassion staff and resources that are required to fortify church partners and achieve our common objective of releasing children from poverty in the name of Jesus. In order to accomplish global strategies and objectives, the main goal of this role is to give guidance to subordinate managers and staff. This includes hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees as well as mentoring, performance management, assigning, approving, and checking work. In addition to working with other senior executives to define functional strategy, the incumbent bases decisions on operational strategy and priorities.

  • Keeps a close personal contact with Jesus. keeps a polite, Christ-like demeanor when interacting with people both inside and outside of Compassion, remains a constant testimony for Jesus Christ, and faithfully supports Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Serves as an advocate to increase public understanding of children’s needs. recognizes the commandment from Christ to keep children safe. demonstrates a commitment to putting a high priority on child protection issues in all ministry-wide responsibilities, decisions, and activities. respects Compassion’s Code of Conduct and Statement of Commitment to Child Protection in all respects. utilizes Compassion’s internal reporting mechanism to report any concerns regarding the abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children, and provides the necessary support for any occurrences that may arise.
  • Gives direct reports leadership and development opportunities. collaborates with employees to create a professional development atmosphere that is in line with compassion’s goals and tactics. Seek advice from senior leaders and peer management to effectively coordinate departmental priorities and resources within Compassion.
  • Participates in, prepares, and oversees the department’s yearly budget and spending, maintaining accountability for the timely fulfillment of deliverables in accordance with departmental goals, SLAs, and other Compassion requirements, and guaranteeing adherence to board and regulatory policies.
  • Chooses, leads, and develops assigned personnel; sets goals and objectives; provides coaching and performance management, including incentive, discipline, and yearly evaluations; encourages ongoing learning and growth that improves individual performance and organizational capacity.
  • Enables subordinates and the personnel they are responsible for to work well in teams that interact with the church. increases the designated staff members’ ability to assist the church. works together with peer managers to resolve problems and raise the efficiency of teams that deal with the church. makes the plans and work of their team available to other departments or teams.
  • Give staff the freedom to prioritize tasks, attend to the needs of the church, and make decisions that improve relationships and produce better program ideas. exemplifies a culture of ongoing learning-based development that increases program efficacy.
  • Shows team members that they are personally committed to serving, honoring, and empowering the church in accordance with the values stated in Compassion’s ministry beliefs. creates a team with the same level of dedication.
  • Oversees the development of church ownership, capacity, and resources for the purpose of providing context-specific ministry to children and young. Additionally, oversees the allocated staff members that help the church with the needs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of the program cycle. guarantees that the team is in line with the fundamentals of partnership management.
  • Examines facilitation work plans, project visit reports, church input, Partnership Management strategic process objectives, monitoring and evaluation data, and other sources to track progress toward youth and church outcomes. makes use of these indicators to motivate team performance improvement and find staff development opportunities. assists partnership facilitators in determining if partnership agreement obligations have been met by frequent visits and the application of standardized tests.
  • Oversees the Partner Maturation Model’s implementation, making sure that flexibility and capacity exist to modify facilitation techniques. ensures that facilitation work plans are created and carried out in a way that takes into account the unique needs and maturity of each church.
  • Creates a team that speaks up for the needs of the church and forges bonds of mutual respect, trust, and service that strengthen church ministry. increases the team’s ability to build cooperative connections with committees, project personnel, heads of churches and denominations, pastors, elders, and other key players that support the development of church partners’ maturity.
  • Oversees teamwork in conjunction with Program Support to guarantee that the training and support requirements of church partners are satisfied and that they are appropriately informed about Compassion resources. oversees the organization and execution of activities at the cluster level that foster connections and mutual learning, create cooperative partnerships, and enlist the assistance of church partners in the training of other church partners.
  • Oversees team accountability for programmatic and sponsor engagement objectives, as well as for Compassion promises made to the church. Maintains team communication with individuals in Business Support and Program Support who oversee Compassion’s contribution to those deliverables in order to guarantee quality and fulfillment. handles problems in a supportive role with the relevant manager.
  • Demonstrates how to work well with Program Support to make sure that child protection regulations are followed.
  • Makes certain that during the course of a collaboration, personnel and important stakeholders are aware of the implications for child protection.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business administration and management, Governance and Leadership, Monitoring and Evaluation, Programs and Project Management, Resources Mobilization, or other relevant discipline.
  • Having a master’s degree will be beneficial.

Experience:

  • Five years or more of relevant management experience in this or a similar industry.

 

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Certification in a related profession from an organization with national or international recognition.

Working environment:

Office: Conventional Office Space.

Physical Requirements:

Eight hours a day, either standing, sitting, or walking.

Requirements for Travel:

Might have to travel for up to 40% of the typical timetable.
