Summary of Position:

One of the most important members of the DKT Tanzania team, the marketing coordinator will collaborate with the national sales manager (NSM) and regional marketing manager of DKT East Africa to deliver results in line with the company’s annual sales targets, revenue targets, and overall business plan. The primary responsibility of this function is to oversee the efficient execution of marketing strategies and plans aimed at increasing brand recognition and intent to use, hence expanding the brand presence and sales of DKT Tanzania.

 

Principal Obligations and Accountabilities:

  1. Provide DKT Tanzania with building blocks to aid in the formulation of the East Africa annual marketing strategy by working together to:
  • Examine the results of last year’s marketing plan.
  • Make sure you have a thorough understanding of the target market for each brand, including developing insights; carry out market research as needed.
  • Develop core brand messages and adapt brand positioning to meet yearly goals.
  • Create marketing campaigns and materials for above- and below-the-line execution by writing a creative brief and working with an agency or graphic designer.

2. Work along with the national sales manager and regional marketing manager to create a 360  degree ATL/BTL tactical communications plan that will meet the annual marketing plan’s objectives for sales, trial, and awareness.

  • To increase share and brand equity, create a comprehensive, integrated, multi-touchpoint media plan that targets customers when and where they are most open to brand messaging.
  • Monitor the execution of local, traditional, digital, and out-of-home (OOH) marketing plans and campaigns, and share opportunities to enhance media coverage.
  • Driven by shifting consumer media behavior, lead analysis and acceptance of new media trends.
  • Integrate social media, mobile, and digital tactics fully into pertinent initiatives while building the necessary alliances and skills to quicken the transition to interactive media.
  • Maintain a competitive edge for DKT brands by tracking, analyzing, and reporting on competitors to make sure there are no copyright violations.
  • Oversee the calendars for sales promotions and campaigns to ensure ongoing involvement and regular cross-functional communication.

3. Oversee the execution of the national marketing and communications plans for DKT Tanzania:

  • When executing marketing initiatives like email, event, social media, or content marketing, collaborate with an agency and/or graphic designer.
  • Organize email marketing campaigns for products, events, or content, taking care of database management, scheduling, testing, and copy.
  • To maintain a consistent voice across marketing channels, assist with the production, editing, and proofreading of copy.
  • Contribute to the creation and administration of social media marketing campaigns, content, and PR initiatives, including blogs.
  • Organize marketing and community events on your own, taking charge of registrations, organizing logistics, liaising with vendors, planning schedules, and placing orders for promotional materials.
  • Organize training sessions by scheduling locations, providing instructors, registering participants, and organizing to boost product adoption.

4. To achieve awareness, trial, and sales targets, track, evaluate, and adjust marketing messaging                  and  communications strategies as needed:

  • Analyze and track campaign performance over time by generating thorough reports and focusing on important criteria like ROI, value for money, and brand performance.
  • To increase brand equity, locate, evaluate, and preserve strategic marketing asset opportunities.
  • Make sure that each asset is executed to optimize its return on investment.

5.  Additional obligations:

  • Oversee external vendor connections to guarantee timely, high-quality marketing program implementation and competitiveness.
  • Effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams to guarantee that sales and marketing initiatives are complementary and productive.
  • Take on new duties when they are assigned.

 

Knowledge, expertise, and abilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a similar discipline.
  • Five years of marketing experience.
  • Proven track record of success utilizing a range of marketing channels and platforms, as well as expertise in media and marketing best practices, including email, social, and digital marketing.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with agencies, organizing community and marketing events, and supporting the creation, carrying out, and evaluating marketing initiatives.
  • Shown proficiency in speaking, writing, and presenting; excellent copywriting and editing were also displayed.
  • Good analytical abilities and a track record of evaluating metrics, producing reports, and making recommendations.
  • Strong project management and organizing abilities.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
