Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Intern

Job location: Mwanza

 

 

The CMS (Tanzania) Limited is a well-known mineral exploration drilling company with activities in Tanzania. We are seeking applications for the following positions from motivated and professional individuals who want to join our exciting team. This position will allow you to be a member of a team that contributes to the exciting growth of Tanzania’s mining industry.

We are seeking a motivated and professional Mechanical Engineer Intern with the following qualifications and experience.

 

 

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance Support:

  • To assist with the inspection, service, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • To troubleshooting and offering solutions.

 

The Technical Assistance:

  • To collaborate with engineers to assess equipment performance and recommend enhancements.
  • To conduct mechanical testing to diagnose problems or confirm repairs.

 

 

Reports and documentation:

  • To document equipment maintenance history and develop standard operating procedures.
  • Create daily and weekly reports on maintenance activity and system performance.

 

The Project Support:

  • To contribute to current mechanical initiatives, such as system updates and installations.
  • To conduct research and recommend the parts, materials, and tools needed for mechanical systems.
  • To assist with the introduction of a new ERP system (Dynamics 365), followed by ongoing technical assistance for maintenance teams.

 

The Requirements:

  • A Diploma or degree from high school.
  • An advance MS Office, specifically MS Excel.
  • The knowledge and familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics/ACCPAC, is preferred.
  • The experience in mining is preferable but not required.
