Job Summary:

To ensure the smooth functioning of medical services within the project’s infrastructure by offering complete administrative and medical support to the EACOP project. In order to perform the job, one must manage medical data, coordinate with medical staff, and make sure that health and safety laws are followed.
About 10,000 workers from two nations will be mobilized as part of the project; this is a sizable multicultural workforce with a poor risk awareness and a weak health and safety culture.
Many hazards because of the area’s remoteness, inadequate infrastructure, high danger of transportation and roads, tropical diseases, etc.
Emergency Response and MEDEVAC must take into account the remote areas.

 

Activities:

1. Administrative Support:

  • Organize and maintain medical documentation and records.
  • Plan and organize staff medical appointments.
  • Organize and manage communications and correspondence about medical services.
  • Help in the writing of presentations and reports about medicine.

2. Medical Coordination:

  • Communicate with medical personnel and outside providers of healthcare.
  • Organize emergency medical responses and make sure hospitals are prepared.
  • Oversee the medical evacuation and other emergency medical logistics.
  • Continuous communication with the hospitalized patient’s medical teams.

 

3. Reporting and Compliance:

  • Verify adherence to UG and TZ health and medical laws and regulations.
  • Preserve patient privacy and medical record confidentiality.
  • Create and turn in reports on medical procedures and health data on a regular basis.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of health and safety policies and protocols.
  • Organize and notify HR of every Fitness Certificate that has been issued to COMPANY employees (administrative document).
  • Support the “Fitness to Work” strategy for all EACOP workers and contractors to make sure it complies with national occupational health laws and regulations as well as COMPANY requirements.
  • Evaluation of Tanzanian occupational health providers to guarantee that the company hires healthy employees and that workers receive top-notch medical care.

 

4. Patient Care Support:

  • Inform employees about policies and programs related to health and wellbeing.
  • Provide any pertinent medical information to the MSM as soon as possible for the company (sources: MOH, WHO, CDC, Alert sites, Local sources).
  • Assist the MSM in reviewing, updating, and proposing new medical practices.
  • Take part in the creation of initiatives for health awareness, prevention, and proper communication to enhance the culture of health.

 

Experiences and Qualifications Essential:

  • Prior experience, ideally in a large-scale project setting, in an administrative position related to medicine.
  • Strong communication and organizing abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and medical record management systems.
  • Capacity to manage confidentially with sensitive data.
  • Understanding of work-related health and safety regulations.
  • Complete familiarity with Tanzania’s medical facility network.
  • Complete familiarity with Tanzanian legal requirements.
  • Prior experience practicing medicine abroad.
  • Prior exposure to the global oil and gas sector is valued.
