In order to offer its own exams, Tanzania Mainland withdrew from the East African Examinations Council (EAEC) in April 1971, which prompted the establishment of NECTA. In1970, Zanzibar left the EAEC. Tanzania took part in international secondary school examinations, which were previously administered by the Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate alone, along with the East African Syndicate between 1968 and 1971, prior to the pullout.

The School Certificate and Higher School Certificate Examinations were administered at that time by the Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate. African students first took the School Certificate exam in 1947, and then they took the Higher School Certificate exam in 1960.

 

Examination for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (ACSEE).

Candidates who have completed two years of advanced secondary education and earned three credits at the CSEE level are eligible for this.

Every year, during the first week of May, the ACSEE is given out.

 

The Goals (Objective) set forth by ACSEE.

The purpose of this test is to evaluate the student’s knowledge and capacity for pursuing courses leading to a diploma or degree, as well as the degree to which the student can apply the knowledge and abilities to address social, political, economic, and technological challenges that face both the individual and the country’s overall development.

Thus, the following abilities across a wide range of tasks are anticipated of applicants at this level: knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation.

 

Candidates who reserve a seat for the exam are eligible.

Candidates who have completed two years of advanced secondary education and earned three credits at the CSEE level are eligible to take this exam.

  • Math, Physics, and Chemistry (PCM).
  • Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (PCB).
  • Mathematics, Physics, and Geography (PGM).

  • Geography, Biology, and Chemistry (CBG).
  • Agriculture, Biology, and Chemistry (CBA).
  • The CBN stands for Chemistry, Biology, Food, and Human Nutrition.
