Job Title: Officer – Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Answer to (Report to): Senior Officer – Information and Communication Technology
The Private Agricultural Sector Support Trust (PASS Trust)
Job Purpose (Summary).
Be responsible for the implementation of ICT strategy planning, application development, system administrator governance, ICT support for automation/digitization, and innovation at PASS TRUST and its subsidiaries.
The Main Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and assure timely data backup for all important systems.
- To train users on new and old systems to increase their efficiency.
- To configure new equipment, such as personal computers, printers, modems, laptops, and network devices.
- To work with the ICT team to create and administer artificial intelligence tools.
- To evaluate, implement, and monitor best practices for ICT security and governance.
- To ensure that data is synchronized between the DR site and production site.
- To provide support for PASS systems by coordinating with vendors to handle business challenges related to PASS Trust.
- Make sure that equipment is secure and that it operates safely in the PASS environment.
- To ensure that the procurement of system equipment, machinery, and software complies with the terms, conditions, and warranties.
- Help the team with innovations and acquisitions of system hardware, software, machinery, equipment, and services.
- To manage and ensure that critical and peripheral systems are up and functioning at an acceptable level to support business and operations.
- Maintain safe and proper access to the Server Room and Disaster Recovery Site.
- Maintain appropriate custody of system data logs, security logs, and CCTV video.
- Make sure that the server room and PASS physical security gadgets are properly maintained, monitored, and in compliance with the PASS Physical Security Policy.
- Carry out/ perform any additional duties as specified.
The Academic Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in information communication technology or any other related subjects.
- A professional IT certification will provide an added advantage.
The Experience and Skills:
- At least two (2) years of verified field experience are required.
- The knowledge of Al, including programming, data analysis, and even Al ethics, will be advantageous for properly integrating Al into ICT systems and workflows.
- Knowing SQL commands and scripts will be advantageous.
- The experience supporting Core Systems will be a benefit.
- To work in a virtualized Microsoft Server environment as well as Linux requires advanced skills and expertise.
- In a complicated setting, advanced network skills and expertise are required.
- The help desk abilities, with a focus on customer service and user training.
- The experience administering servers.
- The experience working with end users.
