We are now looking for passionate and dynamic finance experts who take pride in their ability to provide exceptional customer service and creative solutions to our guests.
As an Outlet Cashier, you are responsible for the cashier’s home fund and its safekeeping, with crucial responsibilities such as:
- To ensure that a check is issued and documented in the POS system for each food and beverage sale in the outlet.
- To ensure that a check is issued and documented in the POS system for any meals consumed by staff or for any complimentary or entertainment services provided to guests.
- To enter the opening and closing check numbers used during his or her shift in the Night Auditors logbook, ensuring that checks are utilized sequentially and that all checks are accounted for.
- To open a guest check in the POS system, punch orders, split and move tables, and settle checks using cash, room charge, credit card, or city ledger.
- Create the cashier’s summary and tally it with the Micros (POS) reading at the end of his or her shift.
- To print and total transaction lists from credit card machines using physical checks and Micros readers.
- Create a deposit envelope, write the deposit amount on the cashier’s deposit sheet, and place it in the Front Office safe depository in the presence of a witness who has also signed the witness column of the cashier’s deposit sheet.
The Skill Set:
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
- You should have a diploma or degree in hotel management or accounting, as well as previous experience working in a hotel.
- Good English communication skills and computer literacy are required, while familiarity of Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN Systems is beneficial.
