We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Poultry Expert to join our team and help our customers reach their farming goals.
The Position Overview:
A Poultry Expert will handle both sales and support extension services. This candidate will be in charge of marketing and selling our poultry feed products, as well as giving complete support and advise to farmers on best practices in chicken husbandry and commercial farming.
Main Responsibilities
A. Sales and marketing:
- To promote and sell poultry feed to farmers, cooperatives, and other players in the poultry sector.
- To develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet sales targets.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with current and potential consumers.
- To conduct market research to uncover new company prospects and keep up with industry developments.
B. Our help and Extension Services:
- Offer specialist advice and help to farmers on poultry husbandry, including feeding, breeding, health management, and biosecurity measures.
- Make on-site visits to farms to assess conditions, identify problems, and propose solutions.
- To organize and conduct farmer training sessions, workshops, and seminars to educate them on industry best practices and new advancements.
- Help farmers establish sustainable and lucrative farming practices.
C. Technical expertise:
- Keep up with advances in poultry research and best practices for commercial poultry raising.
- To collaborate with the R&D team to provide input on product performance and suggestions for improvement.
- Create and distribute educational resources, such as manuals, guidelines, and newsletters, to assist farmers.
D. Customer Service:
- Respond to consumer requests and issues immediately and professionally.
- To ensure high client satisfaction by delivering prompt and effective assistance.
- Keep detailed records of client interactions and farm visits.
Job Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Veterinary Science, or a similar discipline. A master’s degree is a plus.
- A proven expertise in poultry farming, husbandry, or a similar profession, including a thorough understanding of commercial poultry production procedures.
- The experience selling chicken goods and providing customer service.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Desire to travel frequently to visit farms and attend industry events.
