For the purpose of managing our media relations in Tanzania, we are seeking an experienced PR manager.

Concerning the Role:

Tanzania’s public relations manager will use effective local media relations to carry out the PR plan and provide significant backing for ongoing initiatives in the nation. We are searching for a long-term strategic PR practitioner who can develop Bolt’s story and increase awareness of our product lines.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assuming responsibility for Tanzania’s media relations, which include establishing and preserving positive rapport with reporters, attending to media requests, and staffing press conferences and interviews.
  • Collaborating on integrated campaigns with the social media and marketing departments.
    working together with public policy on important Tanzanian regulatory matters.
  • Handling communication breakdowns when and if they occur.
  • Providing training to spokesmen, guaranteeing that Bolt representatives are ready to represent the firm in public and media settings.
  • Supporting initiatives pertaining to brands.

 

Regarding you:

  • You have a strong interest in public relations and how shared transportation may improve cities.
  • You have at least three years of experience in PR, during which you have built a network of journalists.
  • You use a “get-it-done” mentality to your advantage when working in a challenging situation.
  • You have perfect written and spoken Swahili and English; any other language that might be helpful in Tanzania’s diverse cultural context would be an added bonus.
  • You have experience developing and implementing PR plans and have a track record of advancing enduring narratives in public.
  • Your reporting and project management abilities are superb.
  • In situations when cooperation and alignment with stakeholders are essential, you feel most comfortable.
  • It is even more advantageous if you have been managing public policy-related issues and working on international teams while doing all of this.
