The Matongo Gold Mine Limited (MGML) is looking for a Process Operator to join its growing team.

The Responsibilities:
- Operating the plant’s individual circuit within the required range of parameters based on metallurgical advise.
- Always produce high-quality work that is both safe and productive.
- To monitor and troubleshoot the working equipment.
- To report equipment failures and abnormalities for repair.
- Samples are collected and submitted on an hourly or shift basis.
- The reagent handling and mixing.
- Follow both safety and environmental guidelines.
- Hourly readings and analysis of plant valuables.
- Perform shift handovers accurately at the beginning and end of each shift.
- The positive participation in both the unplanned and scheduled shutdown of the plant.
- To participate in mill relining activities.
- To assess potential hazards, then identify and implement acceptable solutions.
- To perform general housekeeping.
- Participate in on-the-job and structured training, performance reviews, and development activities as needed to maintain skills and capacity to perform the duties of the position.
The qualification requirements:
- A Form Four (IV) Secondary Education with a Diploma in Mineral Processing will be an added advantage.
- A full technician or trade certificate (FTC) in mineral processing or an equivalent qualification will be advantageous.
- Mine Health and Safety Act Awareness.
Experience and abilities are required:
- One (1) year or more of process operation experience in mineral processing.
- 2-years of process plant operation experience.
- 2 -Years and above expertise in chemical and reagent handling and mixing.
- Two years or more of familiarity in TSF operations.
- Two years or more of experience in polywelding will be advantageous.
- Experience with comminution, crushing, and grinding circuit operation.
- Experience with Heavy Media Separation: Gravity/Concentrator operation.
- Experience with cyclone and classification process operation.
- Experience with mill relining activities will be an advantage.Experience in raw material/stockpile operations.
- Experience with communication and documentation management.
- Experience with computer applications and software, specifically Excel, will be advantageous.
