Job Description:
The Responsibilities and Key Duties:
- To coordinate purchases with user departments in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Make annual material purchases more cost-effective.
- To perform financial analysis, such as total cost assessments.
- To identify new suppliers, make recommendations to buyers, and perform business assessments and reviews.
- To process and monitor purchase requests to verify they are correct.
- Ensure that products are purchased at the appropriate time, to specification, and at a reasonable price.
- To negotiate with vendors and developing positive long-term partnerships.
- Develop competitive retail and pricing tactics.
- Budgeting and anticipating purchase trends.
- Creating reports on product performance and analytics.
- Carry out/ perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
The Requirements:
The Academic/professional Qualifications:
- A degrees in business, economics, procurement, or a related discipline are preferred.
- To register with PSPTB will provide an edge.
The work experience:
- The experience in purchasing activities spanning at least two years in the related field.
- The previous experience in the merchandising or retail industry will be advantageous.
The Skills and competencies:
- Excellent understanding of Office 365, Outlook, and SAP.
- An active, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and a suitable professional image.
- An highly well-organized and self-directed individual with solid technical skills, analytical abilities, great judgment, and a strong operational focus.
- Knowledge and familiarity with technical specifications.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Effective communication abilities.
