The Job Purpose:

By adhering to PSI regulations and processes, you can ensure that PSI purchases the right items and services at the right time, volume, and price.

 

The Duties and responsibilities:

  • Purchase (procurement) of various items and services for the organization.
  • Make sure that the purchase requisition is properly translated into a purchase order in a timely way.
  • Prior to preparing orders, evaluate quotations from local suppliers, produce a detailed bid analysis, and obtain clearance from respective signatories and budget holders.
  • Make follow up on supply and keep user divisions/departments informed about the progress of their orders to ensure awareness.
  • Make sure the approved purchase order has been issued to the supplier.
  • To follow up on the VAT exemption certificate.
  • To manage vendor relationships and performance issues in certain regions.
  • Make sure that procurement records are properly kept.

 

 

What are we searching for?

  • A degree in procurement, supply chain, or a similar subject.
  • A registration with the Board of Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians (PSPTB).
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in procurement.
  • Superb interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication abilities in both English and Swahili.
