The Job Purpose:
By adhering to PSI regulations and processes, you can ensure that PSI purchases the right items and services at the right time, volume, and price.
The Duties and responsibilities:
- Purchase (procurement) of various items and services for the organization.
- Make sure that the purchase requisition is properly translated into a purchase order in a timely way.
- Prior to preparing orders, evaluate quotations from local suppliers, produce a detailed bid analysis, and obtain clearance from respective signatories and budget holders.
- Make follow up on supply and keep user divisions/departments informed about the progress of their orders to ensure awareness.
- Make sure the approved purchase order has been issued to the supplier.
- To follow up on the VAT exemption certificate.
- To manage vendor relationships and performance issues in certain regions.
- Make sure that procurement records are properly kept.
What are we searching for?
- A degree in procurement, supply chain, or a similar subject.
- A registration with the Board of Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians (PSPTB).
- A minimum of two years’ experience in procurement.
- Superb interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Outstanding oral and written communication abilities in both English and Swahili.
