Job Title: Procurement Superintendent
Work location: Faru Branch Office, Dar es Salaam
Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday), 12 months fixed

The Faru Graphite Corporation (Faru or the Company) is currently developing the world-class Mahenge Graphite Project (Project) in the Ulanga area. Faru is committed to completing the Project safely, sustainably, and in line with all applicable local content standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for enabling local purchases from suppliers/vendors in conformity with Faru procurement rules and Tanzanian laws.
- Collaborate with the Tanzanian Mining Commission to streamline the procurement process. Manage and supervise the process of inviting, quoting, and selecting suppliers in accordance with Mining Local Content standards.
- Participate in the examination of submissions based on Faru’s commercial and technical needs.
- Ensure that the entire procurement process is documented accurately for internal and external audits.
- Conduct reviews and negotiations with suppliers’ quotations to ensure Faru receives the most competitive pricing.
- Create and manage an internal database of qualified local suppliers/vendors based on predefined criteria.
- Monitor and maintain inventory in collaboration with department heads and internal stakeholders, as appropriate.
- Evaluate and monitor contracts with suppliers/vendors to ensure that they are in accordance with the contract’s terms and conditions, and evaluate whether any adjustments are required.
The Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in procurement management, logistics and supply, supply chain management, or another similar discipline.
- Certified Procurement and Supply Professional (CPSP) designation.
- Over ten years of procurement experience with a Tanzanian mining firm.
- Extensive knowledge of Tanzania’s mining local content regulations.
- Experience dealing with the Tanzanian Mining Commission’s procurement process.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in Kiswahili and English.
