In 2010, ALAF Limited advanced to employing aluminum-zinc steel coating technology as part of its mission to create premium roofing goods. This allowed them to produce roof sheeting that has a significantly longer service life than conventional zinc coated (also known as “galvanized”) steel.

 

Job Description:

  • Overall administration of CCL’s production and quality.
  • Supervise the Color Coating procedure and guarantee economical manufacturing.
  • Ensure that CCL’s production programs are carried out every day in a way that meets production targets.
  • To guarantee on-time production and satisfactory quality, keep an eye on product standards and put quality-control procedures in place.
  • Making sure that equipment is used to its full potential in accordance with specifications; evaluating production quantity and quality; and starting remedial action to remove shortfalls.
  • Track order backlogs and priorities, equipment malfunctions, and other factors that affect scheduled timetables; take the initiative to address recurring equipment issues and product grievances.
  • Encourage the adoption and use of inventory control and production tracking (SAP) systems, including bar code systems.
  • Plan and coordinate the regular upkeep and repairs of production equipment.
  • Encourage maintenance programs to maintain the health of CCL and other related equipment.
  • Control the cost and consumption of paint, gas, electricity, APR, and other resources at CCL to make sure they stay within the allocated budget.
  • Management of labor guarantees discipline on the shop floor and lowers unnecessary expenses. (calculating the required amount of material and human resources).
  • Managing and inspiring a group of employees; evaluating employee performance, evaluating subordinates, and determining training requirements.
  • Verify adherence to the rules and regulations pertaining to quality, the environment, health, and safety.
  • Ensure that the system at CCL complies with ISO9001, 14001, and 18001 standards.
  • Carry out and assist with 6 K activities.
  • Collaborating with other managers to carry out the objectives and policies of the business.
  • Assure the creation and distribution of MIS reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for informational purposes and remedial measures.
  • Carrying out additional tasks as they are occasionally delegated by management.

Financial accountability:

  • As per predetermined goals, track and manage the variable cost of the color coating line.
  • Control plant output to guarantee volume attainment in accordance with predetermined goals.

Accountability for procurement:

  • Keep an eye on and manage consumables.
  • Submitting purchase requisitions to refill necessary inventory.

Job Requirements:

Required qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent is the minimal educational requirement.

Experience necessary:

  • Years of general work experience: at least five.
  • Particulars of the role (level, discipline, years): At least seven years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering and supervisory roles.
