About the Organization Afyaplus:
Afyaplus is a non-profit organization that operates under the NGO Act of 2002. Its main goals are the empowerment of young women and adolescents and the prevention and control of disease through WASH programs. Due to a shortage of social and economic services like nutrition, water, sanitation, education, and health in Tanzania, the government has asked for help from individuals, organizations, and communities. Acknowledging the capacity of health and community development experts to tackle these issues via community engagement and participation, Afyaplus endeavors to aggregate these assets to furnish indispensable services for the well-being and advancement of every Tanzanian.
Our Reportage:
Recognizing the distinct health requirements of the communities we serve, we work to deliver practical and long-lasting solutions. At the moment, we primarily work in Shinyanga, Simiyu, Mara, and Geita, four regions in Tanzania where we have extensive understanding of the requirements and difficulties related to local health. Our work is client-centered; we work closely with the communities we serve to build programs that are suited to their particular requirements, keeping the needs and preferences of the people we serve at the core of everything we do. Our goal is to significantly and positively impact the communities we serve in terms of health.

To collaborate with the government, local communities, and other important stakeholders to support the development and bolstering of resilient and sustainable health systems that provide equitable access to high-quality, integrated, and people-centered healthcare services.
Summary of Position:
We are looking for a creative, experienced program manager to join our team. In addition to a master’s degree, the chosen candidate must have at least five years of experience in organization development, management, administration, or resource mobilization. The successful management and development of our Afyaplus initiatives calls for a strategic thinker with strong organizational and leadership abilities in this position.
Principal Accountabilities:
Development and Management of Programs:
- Create, carry out, and manage health initiatives that support Afyaplus’s objectives.
- To make sure the goals are reached, track and assess the program’s performance.
- Create program budgets and efficiently allocate resources.
Resource Mobilization:
- Through partnerships, grants, and donor engagement, find and seize financing opportunities.
- Create and deliver excellent reports and proposals to funders and stakeholders.
- Cultivate and preserve connections with financial sponsors.
Leadership and Development of Teams:
- Oversee and guide program employees, promoting a cooperative and efficient work atmosphere.
- Perform performance reviews and offer continuous assistance and criticism.
- Provide team members with opportunities for professional development.
Engaging Stakeholders:
- Work together to achieve program objectives with community partners, NGOs, and governmental organizations.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and other events on behalf of Afyaplus.
- Use reports and presentations to let stakeholders know about the effect and results of the program.
Qualifications include experience, education, technical know-how, and character traits.
Learning (Academic Qualifications):
- A master’s degree in management, organizational development, business administration, public health, or a similar discipline.Experience:
- Five years minimum of relevant experience in management, organization growth, administration, or resource mobilization.
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated aptitude for leading multidisciplinary teams and complex projects.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage donor connections and secure funds.
- Proficiency with tools and software for project management.
Individual Qualities:
- Creative and strategic thinker.
- Results-driven and intent on attaining objectives.
