Job Title: Project Management Officer

We are seeking a Project Management Officer to join our team and guarantee that delivery teams meet scope, schedule, and quality objectives. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, as well as project management, coordination, or operations experience, preferably in the payments, fintech, telecom, or banking industry. Job Responsibilities:
- Governance and controls include maintaining PMO registers (RAID, decisions, and modifications), enforcing templates, stage-gates, and documentation standards, and supporting internal/external audits.
- Planning and Scheduling: Create and maintain integrated plans, keep track of milestones and major dependencies (platform, vendor, regulatory), and drive slippage recovery.
- Reporting and Insights: Create weekly RAG reports, dashboards, and SteerCo packs, verify data accuracy in PMO tools, and take decisions based on insights.
- Risk/Issue Management: Make it easier to identify risks, assess their impacts, plan for contingencies (including service continuity), and escalate issues on time.
- Financial tracking includes updating budgets and forecasts, checking PO/invoice progress, performing burn-rate and variance analysis, and assisting with benefit tracking.
- Resource and Vendor Coordination: Monitor allocations and capacity, manage SOW deliverables, conduct onboarding, and coordinate deliverable acceptance and vendor follow-ups with gateway/MFS partners.
- Delivery support includes coordinating UAT cycles, bug triage, release preparedness, cutover/runbook operations, and documentation reviews.
- Meetings and Communications: Plan ceremonies and governance forums, create agendas, minutes, and activity logs, and follow up with stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest process and tools upgrades to improve predictability, transparency, and throughput.
The Skills and Tools:
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project, as well as working knowledge of Jira and MS Project.
- A clear written and verbal communication, excellent stakeholder management, and facilitation abilities.
- The analytical, detail-oriented and disciplined attitude, with experience handling data and sticking to deadlines and governance.
