Position Title: Public Relations – Intern

Job location: Arusha, Tanzania

Compassion International Tanzania

Part of Compassion International, Inc., a global Christian humanitarian organization devoted to child advocacy and development, is Compassion International Tanzania (CIT). CIT started functioning in 1999. We began twenty (20) years ago and have since expanded to become one of Tanzania’s biggest child-focused, church-based, Christ-centered advocacy and development organizations.

We are a child advocate ministry that seeks to free children from spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty by matching kind individuals with underprivileged children.

CIT is now carrying on a five-year plan called “Our Neighbour Promise” (2022 – 2027). The goal of the strategy is to help Tanzania’s 1.7 million children and youth live better lives.

Compassion uses its Holistic Child and Youth Development Model in Tanzania through Compassion International. The model is based on a child’s life cycle. Together with our partners, we work to ensure that the children we serve have access to all areas of holistic development in order to advance toward being liberated from poverty. We believe that no developmental stage is more vital than any other. We have a single program, with a single set of metrics and beneficiary outcomes. We use a Church Facing Team method to deliver our programs, which strives to provide church partners with the tools they need to create and implement holistic, successful programs for child and youth development that can be sustained.
