Water Mission: Who is it?
A Christian nonprofit organization called Water Mission provides safe water solutions to people in underdeveloped nations, camps for refugees, and areas affected by natural disasters. What is the chance?
The Kasulu Regional Manager will report directly to the Tanzanian Country Director of Water Mission and will be in charge of overseeing the Kasulu Regional Office of Water Mission Tanzania. This will involve managing, leading, teaching, and guaranteeing adherence to the organization’s mission, vision, standards, and values; office and project management; and designing, building, operating, and maintaining water treatment and sanitation systems in communities, institutions, refugee settings, and disaster response scenarios.
As a key leader for Water Mission Tanzania, the Regional Manager is in charge of encouraging employees to cultivate a biblical worldview culture that results in God-honoring excellence in all that they do. This includes reiterating the following: supplying accurate data; enabling employees to recognize errors or problems as chances to come up with workable solutions; and encouraging employees to continuously strive for excellence in solutions that align with Water Mission’s mission, vision, values, and standards. In addition to being able to work in field settings for up to one week on a regular basis and occasionally for longer periods, the Regional Manager must be willing to relocate to Kasulu.
The following will be the regional manager’s duties:
Overall Accountabilities:
- Keep up a powerful Christian testimony and set an example of servant leadership for partners, coworkers, the public, and the communities we serve.
Further obligations:
- Examine, accept, support, and guide employees to comprehend and uphold the standards, values, and vision of Water Missions International Tanzania in all facets of office and project operations.
- In accordance with the agreed scope, timeline, and finances, oversee the office or offices and projects.
- Report office and project status in a timely, accurate, and comprehensive manner as instructed.
- As part of a team, lead, guide, and support engineers, technicians, community development workers, administrative staff, and volunteers to guarantee top-notch results and adherence to Water Missions International Tanzania’s standards and principles.
- Perform engineering field work and design with a high degree of excellence and consistent precision in accordance with established engineering principles and standards.
- Create detailed cost estimates and written proposals.
- Oversee several projects at once in various places.
- Keep lines of communication open with the employees and associate organizations of Water Missions International Tanzania.
- Make sure that every part of the task is completed to the highest caliber possible, adhering to the predetermined Scope of task, Design, Schedule, and Budget.
- Train employees of Water Missions International Tanzania and other organizations in the areas of upkeep, operation, organizational protocols, and the sustainability of solutions that are put into place.
- Give your consent for all purchase orders and program- and project-related expenses.
- Give permission for all vehicles and equipment used by Water Missions International Tanzania’s Kasulu Regional Office to be driven, led, and managed so that authorized employees of Water Missions International Tanzania can operate them.
- To make sure that construction and implementation are in line with plans and expectations, conduct field inspections and site assessments.
- As required, take part in disaster response actions.
- Get ready to present to donors, volunteers, the operations team, and strategic partners.
- Carry out engineering duties such as creating plans and specifications and water hydraulic design calculations.
- Assist in guaranteeing that PUMP and MAP prerequisites are met promptly.
- Respect the guidelines and directives found in the Staff Policy Manual and the Water Mission Code of Conduct.

What is necessary?
Connection and Coherence:

Experience and educational background:
- WASH is a recommended experience.
- It is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in a suitable discipline, such as development, monitoring and evaluation, engineering, or community development.
- It is preferred to have a master’s degree in a related discipline, such as community development, engineering, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Seven (7) plus years of progressively bettering people and projects.
- 2+ years of managerial experience in development NGOs.
Capabilities & Skills:
- Proven capacity for reaching agreements, resolving issues, and collaborating successfully with volunteers, staff members, and other leaders at all levels.
- Prove your capacity to develop leaders and create a culture that embodies WM’s core values of integrity, excellence, and love.
- The capacity to adapt to shifting demands and flourish in a highly dynamic environment.
- Strong cross-cultural communication abilities both in writing and speech. This covers authoring reports and proposals as well as operational organization and presentation techniques.
- It is necessary to have written and spoken English proficiency.
- Ability and desire to spend up to four weeks annually traveling inside the nation. This person must endure lengthy, bumpy automobile rides and stand for significant amounts of time in hot weather during the majority of domestic travels.
- A permit to operate in Tanzania.
