Purpose of the job:

To help create and manage corporate connections by efficiently managing customer portfolios and guaranteeing a smooth credit process and product/service sales, including daily account administration and monitoring. To assist customers with paperwork, reports, corporate customer details, CAs, letters of offer, financial analysis for CAs, correspondence, and any other corporate matters/issues as directed by the Senior Relationship Manager and/or Head Corporate Banking on a regular basis.

 

 

The duties and responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for facilitating and supporting interactions between the bank and its clients or prospective clients.
  • To maintaining positive client connections to guarantee that customer requirements are addressed and aligned with the bank’s strategic goals.
  • Provide an assistance in establishing corporate business, with a focus on fee income generation, loans, and trade finance.
  • Provide an assistance to the Senior Relationship Manager in managing, monitoring, controlling, and taking responsibility for the assigned/developed portfolio.
  • Make periodic customer visits.
  • Create and maintain customer reports and databases.
  • Make a follow up on pending documentation from customers.
  • To deal with consumer inquiries.
  • To maintain a flexible schedule to handle unexpected or urgent situations.
  • Provide an assistance to customers in opening current accounts.
  • To monitor payments schedules to ensure that no arrears accumulate.
  • To accomplish the bank’s objectives, manage and enhance the existing commercial portfolio while also soliciting appropriate new customers.
  • To analyze each client’s financial situation to ensure that they take benefit of all available bank goods and services.
  • Research trends and competition before confidently presenting new items or lending facilities to clients.
  • Carry out any other tasks delegated by the Senior Relationship Manager or Head of Corporate Banking from time to time.
  • To ensure that your business continuity plan is effectively implemented.

 

 

Job Qualifications:

  • A university degree or advanced diploma in business administration, banking, finance, or a similar subject.
  • A master’s degree or postgraduate diploma in a related discipline is advantageous.

 

 

Experience of work:

  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the banking business, preferably in credit or retail banking operations.
  • A proven credit administration skills for implementing a diverse credit portfolio.

 

The Personal Attributes:

  • A solid understanding of trade finance credit facilities and their criteria (including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and working capital requirements).
  • A good understanding of International Chamber of Commerce Rules (UCP, URDG, URC, ISBP, etc.) as they apply to Trade Finance products.
  • Excellent understanding of AML/Money Laundering and other compliance rules.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency computer capabilities with Microsoft apps.
