Job Title: Relationship Manager – Premier Banking

Answers to (Reports to): Head of Consumer Banking

Work location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

The Job Summary:

The overall, the growth, retention, and execution of the premier banking service, as well as related initiatives and activities, are targeted at providing value for both the customer and the bank.

 

 

The key responsibilities:

Business Performance:

  • To maximize bank profitability and provide value to consumers through cross-selling, with a focus on wealth and lending opportunities.
  • To identify new business possibilities and increase existing client bases to meet stated financial budgets through appropriate asset and liability growth, transactional, margin management, and revenue streams in line with agreed-upon targets.
  • To achieve company targets for product sales, deposits, loans, income, customer service, and efficiency, while identifying and correcting revenue leaks within the portfolio.

 

 

The Relationship Management and Customer Service:

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s needs through regular value-added contacts with them.
  • Manage and follow up on client queries to ensure timely feedback and resolution within agreed-upon SLAs.
  • To ensure excellent customer happiness, as measured and monitored by feedback surveys and Net Promoter Scores (NPS).

 

 

Leadership and People Management:

  • To share information and best practices.
  • To provide feedback to the various support units.

 

 

Process, Control, and Operational Performance:

  • To ensure compliance with operational risks.
  • The complies with branch layout guidelines, KYC, operational, and risk policies and procedures.

 

 

Strategic initiatives:

  • To expand the allowed market reach.

 

 

The Qualification and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Banking or business administration, economics, finance, or other similar courses of study.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in relationship management and branch operations.
