The Mwanga Hakika Bank Limited (MHB) is a full-fledged commercial bank owned entirely by Tanzanians. We have an amazing opportunity for eager and committed individuals to join our dynamic and developing team at the following open position.

 

The Purpose of the Role:

  • The Senior Relationship Officer is in charge of increasing both assets (loans) and liabilities (deposits) by establishing and maintaining strong connections with SMEs and retail banking customers.
  • This work entails analyzing client needs and offering specialized financial solutions to help businesses flourish.

 

The Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: developing and maintaining long-term connections with SMEs and retail clients, detecting financial needs and providing specialized banking solutions through ongoing interaction.
  • Revenue Generation: Increase deposits, loans, and other products while acquiring new clients and partnering with the sales team on high-quality leads and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Credit and Risk Management: Monitor credit risks, conduct KYC assessments, and work with internal teams to manage financial structures and assure risk compliance.
  • Customer Service and Support: Respond to client inquiries, handle concerns, and keep accurate records to guarantee proper portfolio management and client satisfaction.
  • Business Development & Strategy: Identify new business possibilities, create leads, and develop plans for senior management to accelerate portfolio growth.
  • Operational Efficiency: Assist with transactions and verify client portfolio performance meets the bank’s risk thresholds.

 

 

The Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, banking and finance, or a similar profession.
  • The 3-5 years of experience in SMEs and retail banking, or a similar job, with a strong track record of customer management.

 

 

The Knowledge and Skills:

  • The ability to appraise a client’s financial needs and recommend suitable banking products.
  • Client contacts and presentations require strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The excellent ability to establish rapport, resolve complaints, and provide customer service.
  • Capability to foster long-term client connections and trust.
  • A strong organizational and time-management abilities are required to manage different customer needs and priorities.
  • When handling customer information and transactions, maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
