The Objectives of the Position:
Responsible for developing, establishing, and managing client relationships, as well as ensuring that bank goods are sold optimally to customers; creatively design products to match particular customer demands.
Ensure that the branch sales budget is reached by acquiring new bank customers across all segments, including loan sales, and handling customer service concerns (complaints and feedback) and reporting to appropriate authorities.
The key responsibilities:
- To manage an existing client portfolio and cross-sell bank products to enhance relationships in accordance with allocated targets.
- To identify and recruit new prospective clients to expand the liabilities portfolio (deposit mobilisation).
- Provide exceptional banking services to the bank’s customers.
- To recommend new services and products while being mindful of the impact decisions have on the bank.
- To ensure that loan portfolios increase in line with the annual agreed-upon targets, and that loan portfolios are of acceptable quality.
- Maintaining coordination with other personnel to increase loan portfolio performance and profitability.
- To expedite the loan approval process, loan applications are reviewed and verified to ensure that they comply with the lending manual, procedures, and processes before being routed to the appropriate units / approvers.
- Ensure that loan portfolios have an average turnaround time that is consistent with the lending guidelines.
- Make sure that client concerns are resolved within 24 hours or referred to a higher authority.
- To respond to client inquiries and ensure the resolution of service or operational issues.
- Keep up with current developments and market trends to better discover and serve customers.
- Follow the bank’s procedures and regulations, including regulatory rules, and ensure satisfactory audits.
- To agree on personal performance and growth goals with your line manager.
- Strive to value, understand, and establish confidence in our consumers by professionally resolving the issues and complaints that have been escalated to you.
- To identify new business possibilities in a variety of industries, including monitoring and closing all pending pipelines on a timely basis.
- Conduct institutional visits to all organizations and potential clients in the area of operation.
- The push deposit mobilization through client interactions, visits, and attendance at public, business, sporting, and social events.
- The cross-selling bank products to present and future clients.
- To establish weekly and monthly pipelines as well as business initiatives, and ensure that the pipeline is submitted on time.
- Assist the branch manager in preparing and providing suggestions for branch sales budgets.
- Carry out/ perform any other duties and functions assigned by the line manager.
The Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- A holder of a Bachelor Degree in Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship or comparable qualifications from recognized institutions.
- The excellent grasp of Tanzania’s banking operations and financial markets.
- Solid understanding of market and general business contexts across the banking value chain.
- A self-motivated and innovative, having the ability to initiate and drive change.
- Good client relationships and a thorough awareness of other banks’ lending products, policies, and procedures for cross-selling purposes.
- The excellent communication skills, numerical, analytical, report writing, and presentation abilities.
- Familiar with typical computer applications (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
