The organization is seeking experienced Life Insurance Retail Financial Advisors (RFAs) to join its team. As an experienced Retail Financial Advisor (RFA), you will be responsible for selling life insurance products, assisting the retail distribution network in meeting sales targets, and contributing to the expansion of the business portfolio. The Retail Financial Advisors (RFAs) will report to the Unit Sales Manager (Retail) and will work in Dar es Salaam.

 

 

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

A detailed description of the primary tasks performed by the job holder:

Meet the sales targets.

  • Attending insurance-related meetings within certain sales channels or distribution networks.
  • Works on leads generated by the appropriate distribution channel.
  • To increase product awareness among all prospective clients via all distribution channels.
  • To attend promotional events and campaigns to raise brand awareness and sales.
  • Maintain individual sales activity plans and report to the supervisor on daily and weekly actions, including attendance at team meetings.
  • To send out proposals and quotations, as well as fast follow-up on premiums and renewals in accordance with ALAL requirements.
  • The monthly reconciliation to confirm that sales data are correct.
  • To recruit new clients, establish and maintain excellent connections with all stakeholders (both new and existing), and check in on clients on a frequent basis to improve service retention and prospective business prospects.
  • The Bancassurance Channel Support functions.
  • On a daily basis, follow up on the shared prospect list and close leads.
  • Make follow up on outstanding premiums and policies that have yet to be issued or renewed.
  • To report to USMs and Bank Branch Managers, to whom you will be allocated the daily lead report.
  • To maintain compliance with business policies and procedures.
  • Carry out any such official tasks as delegated by management.

 

 

The required qualifications and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certificate in insurance and risk management, economics, banking and finance, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of sales experience, preferably in life insurance, will be advantageous.
  • Must have excellent marketing and negotiating skills.
  • Must have excellent relationship-management skills.
  • The ability to self-motivate and work independently, as well as complete assignments within the constraints of the instructions, defined methodology, and standard operating procedures.
  • An outstanding report-writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent planning and organization skills.
  • Must have excellent time management abilities need the ability to operate under pressure, meet deadlines, have a positive attitude, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • The ability to present a high level of integrity and professionalism, including a well-groomed look.
  • Enough understanding of Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Must have excellent communication abilities in English and Swahili, including writing, speaking, listening, reading, negotiating, and persuasion.
