The Job Overview: As Aquantuo develops into Tanzania, the Sales and Marketing Specialist will develop and implement go-to-market strategies to drive B2B development in e-commerce, shipping, and 3PL services. You will integrate Aquantuo’s regional strategy with global objectives, establish strategic partnerships, and increase market share and revenue.
The main responsibilities:
- To identify and pursue new business prospects in Tanzania’s target markets.
- Lead generation techniques include cold phoning, referrals, field visits, and networking.
- To conduct in-person and virtual meetings with potential clients to provide customized proposals and quotations.
- Follow up with leads on a regular basis to advance them through the sales funnel, negotiate conditions, and close deals on time to achieve targets.
- Develop and maintain good client connections while looking for opportunities to upsell and cross-sell new services.
- Keep precise records of all sales activities with a CRM solution and provide thorough weekly reports on pipeline status and performance.
- To collaborate with operations and customer service to provide a smooth delivery experience, as well as acquire and transmit consumer feedback to improve services.
- To conduct market research to better understand client demands and competitive offerings.
- To identify and cultivate strategic alliances to aid corporate expansion.
- To collaborate with the marketing team on lead generation campaigns and promotional activities.
- Showcase the company at trade shows, events, and exhibitions.
- To assist in producing or refining marketing content for local customer segments.
- Use insights from customer encounters to better marketing strategy and messaging.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a closely related subject.
- A minimum of three years of B2B sales experience in logistics, e-commerce, or international trade.
- A proven track record of creating and implementing complicated sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
- A strong analytical skills for interpreting market data and sales performance.
- Showed leadership in managing and scaling sales teams.
- A thorough understanding of Tanzanian trade facilitation, customs regulations, and 3PL operations.
- The excellent written and vocal communication abilities, as well as competency in proposal writing.
- Self-motivated, having a preference for action and rapid decision-making.
- A proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM technologies (HubSpot or Salesforce).
