Job Title: Sales – Intern

The Insight Management Tanzania Limited, a Tanzania-based HR consulting organization, is presently seeking on behalf of a client for the role of Intern in Sales in Food and Chemical Engineering.
The key responsibilities:
- Maintain consistent application of all applicable policies and procedures.
- Help to identify possible new customers.
- To generate new business based on a key prospect list in accordance with 4P criteria.
- To provide active and reactive service to current customers in accordance with the route system, as agreed upon with the supervisor.
- To introduce new lines to current clients and circle them.
- To install and implement purchased solutions and/or mechanical systems.
- To recommend removing non-functional installations or accounts that have been terminated.
- To coordinate cooperation with distributors.
- The merchandise the institutional sales and service solutions.
- To respond to a wide range of customer requests, including sales and marketing support, pricing advice, and so on.
- To provide solutions to clients’ needs in a win-win scenario.
- To maintain direct personal touch with all allocated accounts and react to any requests for information or project quotes within 24 hours (or less).
- To participate in home product exhibits, utility-sponsored events, trade associations, and so on.
- Maintain a professional and pleasant demeanor in all contacts with contractors and consumers.
- Provide the best technical support to Service Technicians to guarantee that clients receive the best service possible.
- Instruct customers’ staff and decision makers on technological issues.
The knowledge, Skill, and Experience:
- The position requires understanding of chemicals and food products, with a preference for graduate students in science subjects, notably Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- The vocational training background (for example, plumber or electrician).
- A male candidates are preferred due to the nature of the job.
- A clean driver’s license.
- The organizational and administrative skills.
- One (1) year of experience.
The reporting:
- The daily customer service report.
- The monthly progress report to the Manager.
- The sales/service calls should be reported to the manager and, if applicable, to the customer.
- Set up a yearly, monthly, and weekly sales plan, as well as a weekly activity schedule.
- Create a monthly plan that includes actions to be completed on a customer’s account and submit on a date agreed upon with your supervisor.
- To plan, develop, and implement proactive/reactive customer service (installation, startup, repair, maintenance, and de-installation of all machines).
