Join us in the heart of one of the most renowned wildlife reserves in the world, where the Big Five—the lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros—run free across an unending, wild terrain. Our Lodge is situated near an animal watering hole, where you can witness a family of elephants stopping for a morning drink. It is perched on a network of raised platforms and walkways. Our Lodge is conveniently located 45 minutes away from the Seronera Airstrip, which is reachable by connecting flights from three major airports in Tanzania. It is nestled amidst expansive plains in the heart of the Central Serengeti. With 77 rooms—12 suites and 5 villas—three exquisite food and beverage venues, a unique Discovery Center that offers an interactive experience for learning about the history, wildlife, and people of the Serengeti, Kijana Kids Club, a spa with six free-standing treatment pavilions that offer custom rituals and treatments that celebrate Africa’s magic and mystique, a fitness center, and a committed staff that brings your magical wildlife safari experiences to life—this stunning lodge opened under the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts family in December 2012 and is home to a number of other amenities.

 

Fundamental Goal/ Basic Purpose:

The sales department is in charge of marketing the hotel and creating a welcoming environment for guests who may make individual or group reservations at the Lodge. A sales manager usually works with their own clientele or as a partner in a job-sharing arrangement. Booking business from their solicitation and prospecting efforts and answering questions constitutes the main duties.

Strong market awareness and the development of account relationships throughout the extensive network of DMCs in the local market are essential elements.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Make phone calls and in-person sales visits to accounts in the designated market segments.

Establish a strong collaborative partnership with the Four Seasons Hotel Worldwide Sales Office. Shows knowledge of standards by establishing a good example for standards implementation, conducting standards testing, and carrying out action plans to meet predetermined targets for products and services. creates yearly account strategies and predictions, regularly tracks and oversees personal and financial objectives. demonstrates genuine passion, warmth, and concern when interacting with both internal and external customers; exemplifies the Golden Rule. When representing the resort or company, always present yourself in a professional manner and act in a mature, professional, business-like manner.

 

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assemble and keep current Delphi records.
  • As needed, take part in familiarization and site inspection inspections; kindly be aware that this may necessitate spending time away from home on weekends and public holidays.
  • As directed by the Director of Sales & Marketing and the marketing plan, travel and seek business.
  • Make at least two in-person sales calls in the designated area each day.
  • Ask your clientele for recommendations to other Four Seasons Hotels or for repeat reservations.
  • Make sure that all groups with a high possibility for room nights have their permanent files updated.
  • Keep up a productive correspondence schedule.
  • When the size of the firm necessitates presence on property, take meeting planners on tours of the property.
  • Work up a deal with clients to meet their needs while maximizing revenue and profit potential.
  • In order to achieve individual objectives as well as the total budgeted sales and profitability, evaluate, solicit, sell, and confirm business as needed.
  • Create data, provide programs that address the demands of the clientele, and suggest alternative solutions.
  • Contribute to the marketing plan and budget’s local section.
  • Report monthly against the plan or objective.
  • Always swiftly and completely notify the director of marketing or sales of any issues or noteworthy anomalies that come to their attention, allowing them to take appropriate remedial action as soon as necessary.
  • Effectively collaborate with other department heads to guarantee the caliber of guest or group contentment.
  • Monitoring the status of every confirmed transaction.
  • Help with project planning, development, and implementation for designated market areas in order to boost profit, volume, and sales activity.
  • The capacity to keep allocated files up to date in compliance with account coverage program criteria.
  • Make sure you have a thorough understanding of the local competitors.
  • Promote the hotel’s amenities on a regular basis.
  • As delegated by the personnel and administration of the lodge, complete additional duties or projects.

SPECIFIC DETAILS:

Education: While not required, a diploma in marketing studies or hotel management is preferred.

Experience: Three years of direct sales experience working for a five-star hotel chain or another travel agency.

Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Number of workers under supervision: 1

Travel is necessary: Occasionally to the covered markets.

Hours needed: Depending on demand, the days and times shown may change.
