Qatar Airways (QR) has started a thrilling path of transformation to alter our client interactions. We are now hiring for the position of Sales Operations Coordinator, headquartered in Tanzania, as part of this journey.

You will be closely monitoring established procedures and policy guidelines while you carry out daily sales operations responsibilities for the designated region in this capacity. Provide internal sales teams and outside trade partners with five-star service to enable QR revenue-generating sales operations. Assist in fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and actively contribute to the sales operations team’s esprit de corps.

 

Particular responsibilities consist of:

  • Respect QR’s worldwide sales operations standards by rigorously adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales operations functions.
  • Take the lead in the team’s execution of sales operations tasks, such as (but not restricted to) group sales, trade/corporate account support, reservations and ticketing, sales support, sales systems, and sales administration.
  • Provide external trade partners with informative, engaging communications about QR-related topics, such as campaigns, policy modifications, and fare revisions.
  • Assist the sales team in keeping the trade partners in the area database current. Regularly report to line managers and regional management on important departmental performance metrics and unresolved concerns.
  • Assist junior team members in upholding the highest standards of service delivery by serving as their mentors.
  • Carry out additional departmental responsibilities relevant to his or her role as instructed by the department head.
  • Manage all aspects of sales operations, such as group sales, sales support, sales systems, sales administration, trade/corporate account service, refunds, reservations and ticketing, and refunds.
  • Handle Returns.
  • Submit requests for Commercial Tool Kits to the sales force in Galaxy.
  • Upkeep of the Trade and Galaxy portal systems.
  • Get in touch with clients or QR Account Managers to finish the documentation.
  • Create market-specific reports and distribute regular performance updates.
  • Update your customers’ profiles in Galaxy.
  • Upload corporate contracts and PLBs into Galaxy.

Job Qualifications:

It will be necessary for you to succeed in this role.

  • High School Diploma or Its Equivalent 3 years minimum of experience in a comparable field.
  • Expertise in any of the following areas: business analysis, distribution, tariffs, group sales, sales assistance, reservations and ticketing.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and computer literate.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Strong familiarity with travel industry procedures (such as pricing and distribution technology), systems (such as Amadeus, GDSes), and airlines in general.
  • Abilities to solve problems and an efficiency-focused mindset.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • The capacity to encourage cooperation among team members.
