The Head of Audit (HoA) of Citibank Tanzania will receive assistance from the Senior Auditor. The person in question will be in charge of carrying out a variety of assurance-related tasks, such as risk assessment, business monitoring, validation of audit and regulatory concerns, and audits, both domestically and internationally.

Accountabilities:
- Provide support to the regional Head of Audit (HoA) by participating in the local governance forum, successfully disseminating information about Internal Audit initiatives, and collaborating with national administration, particularly the Citi Country Officer (CCO).
- Applying Citi’s Internal Audit Methodology and professional standards, conduct audits in both foreign and domestic countries.
- Examine the regulatory environment, taking into account any newly identified major risks, and adjust the audit’s scope to meet those requirements.
- Participate in the creation of audit reports, deliver results to business units and management, and suggest practical corrective action plans.
- On schedule and within budget, complete the allocated audits and regulatory validations.
- Using business monitoring, keep an eye out for new issues, take appropriate action, and submit regulatory reports on time.
- Provide suitable recommendations for reducing risk and controlling weaknesses.
- Work together with the management information team to analyze audit data and the internal audit quality assurance team to resolve issues.

- Outstanding written and vocal communication abilities; capacity to process large volumes of information and deliver ideas clearly.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with exceptional Excel competency.
- Displaying a high degree of analytical rigor in the formulation of goals and the measurement of outcomes.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities to communicate with regulators and senior management at all organizational levels.
- Effective influencing capabilities, with a proactive and ‘no surprises’ attitude in presenting issues/requests.
- Practical problem solver with an outlook on the future and an independent way of thinking.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and has a solid work ethic.
Skills, background, and credentials:
- Ten years of minimum experience, at least five of which must be in banking
A bachelor’s degree is required. Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. - It is preferable to have a higher degree or comparable certifications (such as ACCA, CIA, CPA, ACA, CFA, CISA, or CAMS).
- It is preferable to have prior experience working with international teams, managing integrated internal audit, and delivering assurance.
- Solid knowledge of the financial industry.
- Previous expertise carrying out risk-based audits and delivering findings to management.
- Familiarity with risk problem management standards, instruments, and procedures.
Not meeting these requirements, exceptional individuals may still be given consideration for the position.
